Dear Neighbors, Miramar City officials have been very busy looking for solutions to the blasting problem. They are planning a trip to Tallahassee on March 15 where they are going to meet with Florida legislators on both House and Senate to ask for a responsible approach regarding the mining industry in the Miami-Dade Lake Belt area. Commissioner Riggs is trying to get a bus to transport residents who want to go to Tallahassee and support the efforts of the Miramar Mayor and the Commissioners. We understand that a permanent solution to the blasting problem is ultimately in the hands of the Florida legislators, that is why this trip is so important. The more people who can go to Tallahassee and support our elected officials, the better!
