Raise the Minimum Wage In Hawaii - Pass SB2609
The Issue
In Hawaii, the minimum wage has not been raised in seven years. Because of inflation and Hawaii's high cost of living, minimum wage workers would have to earn roughly $9.00 per hour, today, to have the same purchasing power that they did in 2007, the last time the minimum wage was increased.
Help us invest in people-driven economics by asking lawmakers to pass SB2609, a bill seeking to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 by 2017, linking future increases automatically to the CPI, and repealing the tip credit. This measure would give our state's workers the financial security they've earned.
