As a young female growing up in the streets of Lagos, it is almost not to be harrased by just about any random guy. It's worse when they grope and poke, especially when you can't say anything because the kind of society we have will make it your fault. Now that's bad enough.

It is a whole new level of demeaning and just downright monstrous when little kids are being molested and quite often raped especially by those they were put to take care of them. There is no justice for them and that is just bad. Did you know that the fine for rape in Borno State is 2 years imprisonment with the option of fine of 5,000 naira? Yeah, that is the punishment for any person who molests us, young or old. The Constitution of our beloved country almost doesn't have anything on sexual offenses and that is too wrong because it is not only dehumanizing but just an infringement in our rights as human being. It stains us as a people. 

We want to get the government to make laws that protect the rights of it's citizens against sexual predators. A police force that cares and protects not demeaning.
