Global Day for Reflection, focused on protecting the Children.

🌍 Global Petition: Protect the Children — International Justice

In Honor of Nelson Mandela Day

On this Mandela Day, we reflect on harrowing truths unearthed by investigative journalists — and survivor-researcher educators who continue to shine a light on the stark realities faced by children within our societies. Dr. A.P. Thompson, advocates not only for international justice, but for the next generation of youth — those preparing to take the reins beyond care — with hope, respect, and unwavering support.

Instead of finding solace, protection, and restorative belonging, far too many children have endured unimaginable neglect, abuse, trafficking, and in tragic cases, death — all while under care.

These are not isolated incidents.
They reveal a global pattern of institutional failure.

Where is this care?

Who, truly, is being protected?

The cost has been borne by these children.

As of 2025, the Crown Ward Class Action in Ontario — filed on behalf of over 100,000 former children in care — remains unsettled. Despite prior knowledge, repeated warnings, and public concern, many more children have been placed in dangerous conditions, leading to further tragedies.

Time: Global Wellness Climate & Critical Care Response

“The greatest loss to the world as we know it is loss of potential. When we shortchange children of their development, we short-circuit our future.”

 — Dr. A.P. Thompson

🔧 Global Action Plan & Proposed Initiatives

Each year, Mandela Day must be more than a memorial.
It must serve as a catalyst for transformation in child protection and global care systems.

Nelson Mandela reminded us:

“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.”

This petition is a global call to conscience — not only to protect children’s rights but to interrogate the very systems that routinely fail them, undermining the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and violating the legacy of truth, dignity, and justice for the living, the dead, and the unborn.

Challenge:

🌐 Formation of an International Task Force on Child Protection Standards
📊 Global Audit of Care Institutions for transparency, accountability, and humane practices
⚖️ Legislation enforcing independent oversight and trauma-informed care at every level
🗣️ Survivor-led panels to co-author policy, reparation processes, and cultural reform

🔢 The Data Speaks

Global reports from the UN and humanitarian NGOs confirm that millions of children worldwide are subjected to maltreatment while in institutional or foster care. Systemic flaws have allowed these harms to continue — under the guise of protection.

🎙️ Answering the Global Mission

This petition is addressed not only to governments, but to those with a global platform and a moral voice.

We are reaching out to globally respected artists, advocates, and humanitarians — including Christian Bale, whose portrayals of institutional corruption and child protection echo this mission — to:

🎤 Amplify survivor voices
📣 Support a global inquiry into child protection, abuse, and trafficking
🛡️ Stand with journalists and whistleblowers who face retaliation
🎬 Advance trauma-informed storytelling, education, and reform

Just as musicians and activists raised their voices against apartheid, genocide, and climate collapse — we now call upon them to speak for the voiceless: the children warehoused, trafficked, silenced, and lost.

Forget thee not.

✍️ Sign the Petition: Global Day for Child Protection.

By signing, you:

Offer hope
Elevate the voices of survivors
Stand in solidarity with:

🕊️ Children who never made it home
🌱 Survivors who are still healing
🌍 The unborn, whose safety depends on what we do next.

As Peace is the choice to Act.

Together, we rise — to prevent further travesties, to align the soul of society with truth, justice, agape love and freedom, to ensure that every child is treated with the dignity they deserve. Respecting the inherent dignity of all, upholding rights and responsible commitment to wellness.

In Memoriam:

Dr. A.P. Thompson, a former missing infant, received a verbal apology in 2009. The case of “A Baby Girl Stevenson” stands as a historical record in North America — a living testimony to the resilience of those of whom survived to become a global advocate for truth and justice.

"Our story is not mine alone. It carries the voice of my beloved sister, L.S. Stevenson, who walked beside me in spirit and strength — pleading to Bring Her Sister Home. Stevenson passed on Truth and Reconciliation Day in 2023. This is a shared journey — a vow to ensure recovery for the children of the world, so that no child is left behind."

🪶 With Gratitude to the Survivors of the Sixties Scoop

We extend our deepest thanks to the Indigenous survivors of the Sixties Scoop — who, through their courage, resilience, and testimony, paved the way for children to be heard.

Your voices shook silence.
Your stories opened eyes.
Your endurance became a compass for justice.

You taught the world that systems must be held accountable —
and that children are not property, but sacred lives deserving of truth, belonging, and love. You shared in healing and teaching.

This petition stands in solidarity with your legacy —
and carries your wisdom forward in the fight to protect every child.

We offer our gratitude to the First Nations and respectfully acknowledge the past and ongoing stewardship of land and honour Indigenous teachings.
