By signing this petition you agree that the location of 3240 W. Lake Avenue for a Medical Marijuana Dispensary is unacceptable for our community.  This location is illegal as it falls less than 1,000 feet from the property line of the Taniel Varoujan Armenia School, thereby clearly violting the Illinois State Statue (PA 098-0122).  Additionally, this location falls right along the new bicycle path connecting Glenbrook South High School and the Glen.  A path that is supposed to encourage the students safe and convenient transit through the neighborhood.  There are many other children's sports and activities occuring within blocks of this proposed location as well.  This area already suffers from traffic congestion and traffic is likely to increase with the new housing development being built on West Lake.  Lastly, the proposed location for the dispensary is not convenient for the sick people and/or burdened caretakers who are in need of such a facility, therefore this location does not meet Conditional Use Criteria #1.  The signers of this petition therefore insist that the Village of Glenview Board of Trustees vote 'no' to this dispensary application at the site of 3240 W. Lake Avenue.
