SAVE OUR FIVER: Stop the 'Wattle Vomit' $5 note from entering circulation
The issue
Australians: we love our single coloured polymer notes, our own invention, complete with their colloquial nicknames; 'The Lobster', 'The Watermelon' and 'The Pineapple'.
As of today our national note identity is all at risk...
The Reserve Bank of Australia has just released their latest design for the $5 bill, the baby of the bunch...
Sure you never gained yourself a nickname like your older brothers, but that doesn't mean we can let you be treated this way, we can't let your nickname be "The Wattle Vomit", forced upon you by a committee of bureaucrats with as much artistic training as a Bangalore street sweeper.

And it's only the beginning.
They plan to roll out the 'The Wattle Vomit' look to all our most beloved and cherished notes. No longer will we be able to sit smugly telling our USA friends how good our notes are, how the colours to make them easily identifiable, the beautiful designs, a tribute to our architects, engineers, inventors, artists and leaders. Explaining how we invented the polymer note, and now export them to the world - literally a licence to print money.
Before this happens we must stop The Governor of the Reserve Bank Glenn Stevens from releasing this design abomination upon our society. Of course if this is their master plan to move us to a cashless economy then hats off to you, brilliant move Mr Stevens.
