2019 has been a very busy year for CDPI so far. We've been working with Govan Docks Regeneration Trust which has been running a major Lottery funded community consultation - to document the views of local people about the future of the graving docks.

With major housing plans well and truly kicked into the long grass, the future of the graving docks is still wide open. And with new legislation coming into force next year for community right to force sale (of derelict buildings and sites) there has never been greater cause for optimism.

The student architecture competition, with exhibition and judging having taken place at the Pearce Institute on 8th June, was a huge success and brought forward some brilliant creative ideas about how the docks can be restored.

And of course the filming on the docks for the Spielberg film also helped to raise awareness of the site too.

CDPI's "Turning the Tide On the Clyde" project officially launched on 27th June with a stakeholder exhibition and workshop at the City of Glasgow College Nautical Faculty campus. The project is all about addressing how the River and Firth of Clyde could be better connected and more active as a diverse maritime region.

We still need your continued support to keep up the momentum. Find out how you can support the Turning the Tide On the Clyde project through our "Clyde Waves" crowd funding campaign at:
