"Turning the Tide On the Clyde" is a major project that the Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative aim to develop over the coming year.
The project will pilot a number of key initiatives to research and address how the River and Firth of Clyde can become better connected and higher in profile as an active maritime region.
The project is about so much more than maritime 'heritage' in the historical sense. It will look at the relevance of 'new' heritage that is always being created and evolving; as well as tourism, leisure, re-industrialisation and sustainable development issues. If successful it will pave the way for larger projects with wider impacts and benefits for the Clyde in the years to come.
The early scope, pace and impact of the project will depend on how much funding we can raise to deliver it.
Our amazing supporters have carried us this far but now we need to go full steam ahead, clear the decks and take things to the next level!
Our crowd funding campaign has less that 2 weeks left to run. The equivalent of less than £2 for every petition signature will enable us to reach our target amount.
Become part of a bold vision to bring our great river back to life!
