Glasgow city council & our local councillors in the Pollok area have made the decision to turn half of the road on Braidcraft & Brockburn roads into bus/cycle lanes. Introducing thick brick bollards and solid white lines to the already badly lit roads. 

Locals have vented frustrations - 

* Concerns regarding emergency services getting down these now one lane roads.

* Traffic delays for those who drive especially at rush hour.

* Dangerous bollards which have already seen some accidents. 

There was no need for these lanes to be introduced and as agreed within the community this is a total waste of money. 

For example when the buses pull in cyclists need to come out the lane to get past, as well as likely queues from the roundabout or people trying to turn into the side streets.

The councillorsclaim it is only a temporary matter, however we do know it won’t be.

The local councillors David McDonald, Rhiannon Spear, Rashid Hussain and Saqib Ahmed do not care about the concerns raised and it’s time we made them listen.
