Help Us Save Greater Maryhill Foodbank

The Issue

We are proposing this petition to ask Glasgow City Council, Evening Times and City Property to enter talks with the Board and Members of Greater Maryhill Foodbank to secure the long term future of the Organisation. What we propose to Glasgow City Council is that they publicly state they would re fund Greater Maryhill Foodbank for future funding.   We propose that the Evening Times Newspaper re tract there untrue allegations against Greater Maryhill Foodbank and the Foodbanks Coordinator  We propose that City Property enter talks with the Greater Maryhill Foodbank Board and Members regarding the rent arrears, the price of the unit per month and vat charges for a registered charity.    The continuation of Greater Maryhill Foodbank will ensure that individuals  and families within the North of Glasgow will have full access to food provision in times of crisis.  Greater Maryhill Foodbank help people that are on low income and benefit issues minimum wage and zero hour contracts.  The service is ran by the community for the community!   So we ask could you please take the time to fill out our petition and play your part in SAVING Greater Maryhill Foodbank
