NSW announced the roadmap to freedom once we hit 70% vaccination. These freedoms will be granted for the double vaxxed, but have strongly worked against the Hair & Beauty Industry with harsher caps than any other industry. 
HAIR & BEAUTY- 1 person per square meter rule capped at 5 clients. Our Salon is over 400sqm & we have 14 staff, we have the space and capability to service over 20 clients safely in a Covid safe manner. We would like to bring all our staff back to work after being stood down but can’t if we have to cap our clients at 5 people at a time. 

This is extremely unfair when gyms are allowed 20 per class & we believe hair & beauty should be treated the same.

Larger salons who have 10-20 staff now won’t be able to be reinstate their jobs if they can only service 5 clients at a time, we will only be able to bring back reduced staff. 

We feel there needs to be a fairer system when gyms are allowed up to 20 people in classes, weddings up to 50 guests & Retail & Hospitality uncapped (only need to follow the 1 per 4sqm rule). 

The Hair & Beauty industry have suffered enough without having these harsh rules only applied to our industry.
