I have initiated this petition with the aim of engaging individuals vested with the authority and capacity to address the profoundly hazardous intersection at Alabama Highway 84 and County Road 55. The primary objective is to prevent further instances where families receive the heart-wrenching news that a loved one has become another victim of the tragic circumstances surrounding this perilous highway intersection. The urgency of rectifying this situation is paramount, and it is my sincere hope that this petition will garner the attention and decisive action required to enhance the safety of this intersection and spare others from enduring such devastating tragedies. 

The perilous nature of the intersection at Alabama Highway 84 and County Road 55 is underscored by a tragic incident that occurred on December 13th at around 4 pm, resulting in the untimely demise of a 63-year-old individual: My sweet, loving grandmother who had many more years to come. This intersection poses a significant threat to public safety, as evidenced by numerous other incidents leading to injuries and fatalities. Urgent remedial measures are imperative to relieve the ongoing risk. It is strongly recommended that the Alabama Department of Transportation implement a comprehensive solution, such as the installation of a traffic light, to effectively address and avert further instances of this nature, thereby safeguarding the well-being of commuters and preventing future tragedies.
