Give Spokane More Time to Plan
The Issue
State law gives Spokane until the end of 2026 to finish its 20-year growth plan.
People recovering from the Spokane Complex fires should still have a chance to help shape the plan.
The petition asks the Washington State Legislature to extend Spokane's deadline by six months.
The City should keep public comments open for all six months and announce the deadline at least 30 days before comments close.
