Give Samira Mohan a PROPER Ending.

Give Samira Mohan a PROPER Ending.
The issue
For a show that brags about being 'realistic' and a 'love letter' to healthcare workers, firing the one actress that had moved to LA to go to med-school but instead went on your show and that you had rewritten parts of your show for so you could have Supriya on the cast list is insane.
Supriya is an avodcate for many things. She had pushed for her storyline with the patient that had medical debt, she has spoken up about how the press mixed up the two South Asian actresses' names and much more. Samira Mohan was a character that so many loved and still do, regardless of this casting decision. Firing her for a 'story-driven' reason and because PTMC is a teaching hospital is an excuse to fire women of color that we have seen in the past.
Asking for her to stay in all the seasons going forward is unrealistic, but give such a beloved character that is keeping your relevency and supposed 'compassion despite an underfunded ER' that you brag about in your show a proper ending. There is a SubStack article linked here that I highly recommend reading as it has mine and many others personal thoughts on this worded beautifully.
