Give Online Students the Same Opportunities as Campus Students!

Give Online Students the Same Opportunities as Campus Students!
The Issue
We are deeply concerned by the recent decision to revoke access to certain FWS programs and resources previously available to online students. This not only creates an unequal learning environment, but also contradicts the stated goals of the new college president. While the President has emphasized revitalizing the local economy, the very FWS programs she has restricted cater directly to working adults and geographically distant students as well as disabled children and youth, and disabled Veterans – the very demographics most likely to contribute to the community's well-being. We urge the administration to reconsider this decision and ensure a fair and inclusive learning environment for all students, regardless of their location. All FWS Programs have been stripped away for all of the Universities online students but remains intact for the on-campus students. This has resulted in showing the online students they are not as valued or appreciated in ALL of the HARD WORK and DEDICATION they have provided. As well as making them feel they are being set up to fail, as well as having to put their education on hold due to the FWS being the main source of income and paying their tuition. A LOT of which suffer with disabilities and not physically or mentally able to work within their own communities at an on-site company/position.
