My daughter created this petition to ask the NFL to open up more opportunities for marching bands to perform. She plays percussion with her middle school band and is very passionate about music. She has asked me to help her create this petition. Thank you for your time! Currently only two NFL teams have official and full-time marching bands, The Baltimore Ravens and The Washington Commanders. We're asking the NFL to expand more opportunities for marching bands to perform at games and league events. Give marching bands more opportunity to showcase. While some bands have appeared at NFL events, these opportunities are limited and rarely receive national attention. We believe the NFL can do more by creating regular opportunities for high school, college, and HBCU marching bands to perform regularly throughout the season. Whether through halftime showcases, pregame performances, during the national anthem, themed nights, and special ceremonies. Band members deserve more visibility, give the next generation of musicians the same national spotlight that athletes receive.
