Isle Royal has (in my opinion) been unfairly given to the state of Michigan, Isle Royale is only about 15 miles from Minnesota while it is about 56 from Michigan. Michigan owning Isle Royale dates back to 1835 where Michigan was in a conflict with Ohio over the Toledo strip. The government allowed Ohio to keep the Toledo strip but in doing so gave the UP and Isle Royale to Michigan. This means that there was no say from Minnesota (They were part of Wisconsin Territory at the time). This is why I believe Minnesota should get Isle Royale instead of Michigan.

If Minnesota obtains Isle Royale it will gain 206.7 sq mi of land area, and more coastline on Lake Superior. Isle Royale would be added to Cook County
