Give back High School Credit to Class of 2027 & 2028

Give back High School Credit to Class of 2027 & 2028
The Issue
Support PASD High school students of class 2027, 2028.
The Phoenixville Area School District has changed its high school handbook, eliminating high school credit for advanced courses taken in middle school starting with the Class of 2027. This decision unfairly impacts both the Classes of 2027 and 2028—students who worked tirelessly, met rigorous requirements, and excelled in advanced classes, believing their efforts would count toward their high school record.
Before taking these advanced courses, they were told the classes they took would count towards total credits for graduation and GPA, both of which are now denied to them. The school decided to unfairly and retroactively change this decision two years after the Classes of 2027 and 2028 leave the middle school, meaning they took the classes with the knowledge of gaining credit and are now left with nothing.
These students upheld their end of the commitment; the district should honor theirs. Stripping away earned credit after the fact devalues their achievements and sends the wrong message about hard work, fairness, and academic integrity.
