The decision to ask Harrison Nchinda
to relinquish his prom ticket is unfair
and not justified. As we understand,
Harrison is being asked to give up his
ticket because of disruption he
caused during his "promposal" at lunch
on April 28th, where a crowd formed
and some students stood on top of a cafeteria
table to film the event. The students
who climbed on the tables acted under
their own free will, as Harrison did not
endorse them to climb on the table.
Harrison in fact had planned with the
interests of the school as after the
promposal he went to pick up the rose
petals on the ground, which was
completely cleaned up after the event.
On top of that, when Harrison bought
his prom ticket, he was not given a
contract nor told that any disruption
caused by a promposal would lead to
the ticket being taken away. Ms
Williams has had a history of being
strict surrounding school events, being
very quick to put people on "her list so that they could not attend homecoming,
prom, graduation, etc. Please sign this
petition to overrule this injustice and
allow for students to make memories in
the short time they have in high school.
