Give a proper sendoff to the amazing creation engine Dreams and port it to PS5 and PSVR2

The Issue

My fellow Dreamers,

It's been nearly 4 years since Media Molecule gifted us with one of the most amazing pieces of software ever launched on a console. Dreams has been a haven for countless PS4 players, giving them the freedom to unleash their imaginations and skills by crafting games, short films, sculptures, paintings, and music. The possibilities within Dreams were limitless. But then, a cloud appeared on the horizon – Sony chose not to update the game for the PS5.

I can't fully describe the sadness that hit me when I found out that Media Molecule's genius creation engine wouldn't make the leap to PS5, a console that I love. It felt like a gut punch, a sense of being let down. Dreams isn't just a game; it's a realm of boundless potential. And beyond that, it felt like a golden opportunity lost for the PSVR2. Here we are, almost a year post-launch, and the PSVR2 still lacks any painting, sculpting, or creative software. Dreams could have filled that void, opening the doors to countless mind-blowing VR experiences. It just doesn't make sense that we can't utilize this awesome software that's ALREADY OUT there on the PS5. I can't help but regret jumping into the PSVR5 so early, and I know I'm not the only one feeling this way.

Dreams has always been about community, and I'm reaching out to all of you, as a united community, to amplify our voices and encourage Sony to reevaluate their position on Dreams. After all, they allowed it to be free on PS+, allowing for even more gamers to experience it. And if the problem is the cost of upgrade, I genuinely believe that most of us would be ready to pay a small upgrade fee in order to be able to continue Dreaming on PS5.

So, I'm putting out the call to SONY, asking them to take another look at their stance on Dreams. Let's give Media Molecule the green light to work their magic on the PS5 and PSVR2, and let's give Dreams the send-off it truly deserves.
