The Issue

Paddle sports...Canoe..kayak..SUP..raft....Nearly 190 Million people enjoy some sort of paddle sport. As a highly recognized activity, a Whitewater Park not only exemplifies the total aspect of the activity ..it glorifies it....A Whitewater Paddler Park would invite people from around the world...events, local recreation, green space, spectators as well as a great place for local rescue swift water training for 1st responders.....with a good infrastructure.. high quality play rapids and commitment from the local paddling community to help maintain facility and keep education and conservationism in its heart....it is not hard to imagine a unique and sustaining resource for Rhode Island.  Please help in any way you can...    (this is in response to the slated Potter Hill dam removal on the Pawcatuck River, Westerly RI)
