The West Texas A&M University Bateman team, West Texans With Purpose, is raising awareness for this cause through a public relations campaign running Feb. 15- March 15. The goal of the campaign is to raise local awareness for With Purpose, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness for the lack of funding and research for pediatric cancer. To do so, the team chose to collaborate with the Tatum Tough Foundation.

The Tatum Tough Foundation was started by the Schulte family from Canyon, Texas after their 9-year-old daughter lost her fight to osteosarcoma, a form of pediatric bone cancer that currently has no cure. Their mission is to allow Tatum’s legacy to live on and help others.
