The Issue

Football belongs to the people.

It belongs to the children playing in the streets, to families watching together, to supporters travelling thousands of kilometres for their national teams, and to generations of fans who built this game through their passion, loyalty and sacrifice.

Under the leadership of Gianni Infantino, FIFA is killing the soul of football.

The game is increasingly being treated not as a shared cultural and sporting heritage, but as a luxury product reserved for corporations, wealthy guests, political leaders, celebrities and those who can afford increasingly excessive prices.

Ordinary supporters are being pushed aside.

The 2026 World Cup was promoted as the largest and most inclusive tournament in history. Instead, for many supporters, it has become the most inaccessible, over-commercialised and disappointing World Cup ever organised.

Tickets, travel, accommodation and official hospitality have turned attending the World Cup into a privilege. The people who create football’s atmosphere and identity are being priced out, while VIP sections, corporate packages, commercial spectacles and political appearances receive priority.

A World Cup without ordinary supporters at its centre is not a true World Cup.

FIFA’s leadership appears increasingly distant from the people it is supposed to serve. Decisions affecting the entire football community are made without sufficient transparency, accountability or meaningful participation by supporters.

This is not simply about one tournament or one ticket price. It is about the direction in which world football is being taken.

Football cannot become a private entertainment industry controlled by a small and privileged elite. FIFA is not the owner of football. It is only its temporary custodian.

We therefore call upon the FIFA Congress and the 211 national football associations to:

Demand the resignation or removal of Gianni Infantino as FIFA president.
Initiate an independent and transparent review of FIFA’s governance and commercial policies.
Introduce affordable ticket categories that are genuinely accessible to ordinary supporters.
End pricing practices that treat major football tournaments as luxury events.
Give recognised supporter organisations a formal role in decisions affecting World Cup access, scheduling and ticketing.
Guarantee a transparent and democratic process for the election of FIFA’s future leadership.
This petition is not against football.

It is a petition to save football from those who are turning it into something that belongs only to the privileged.

The World Cup must once again be a celebration of nations, supporters and the universal spirit of the game—not a private festival for wealth, power and corporate interests.

Football belongs to everyone. Gianni Infantino must go.
