We need your help. There was a problem on our power line that knocked out our power 5 1/2 weeks ago. Our bill was already paid (Duke has said that as well) but our power has never been restored. We are also on a well so that means no running water either. My husband has been able to work but I can’t at the moment since I work from home. I will not list the many hardships that this has caused over the last month. But honestly we’re just discouraged that there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight for this. We’ve enlisted help from state congressmen, utility commission, media, our state attorney general, and have even talked with a board member and the president of Duke multiple times. Others have done petitions and it caught Dukes attention but when we gave Duke time and space to actually fix it they just kept promising we would have power that day but have never followed thru on that promise. Please sign the petition and share to raise awareness so that we can get Duke’s attention enough to actually fix our power.
