The Issue

Sofia Davis, At 15, experienced a nightmare she thought could only happen in the worst stories. She believed she had found a new friend in Tee’Asia, someone who would share hangouts and sleepovers. However, Sofia's trust was brutally betrayed when, instead of friendship, she was met with violence. She endured hours of horrific abuse, both raped and beaten by someone she considered a friend.

Despite the trauma Sofia faced, justice has been elusive. It has been two long years without answers, without closure. Recorded interviews with advocacy centers and the Hendricks County Prosecutor’s Office have led to dead ends. During this time, Tee’Asia remains free, a person moving through society, posing a continued risk to others. Her repeated stays in psychiatric wards underscore the ongoing danger she represents.

This situation is a grave injustice not only to Sofia but potentially to future victims. It’s imperative to ensure that Tee’Asia is held accountable for her actions and to prevent her from causing further harm.

This petition seeks to pressure the Hendricks County Prosecutor's Office to take swift action. We want to see a thorough investigation that leads to legal proceedings against Tee’Asia Every step must be taken to ensure that she is prevented from harming another innocent soul. This is about justice, not revenge. People should know what happened and how the system treated it — not to ruin someone else’s life, but to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else

By signing this petition, you contribute to the call for justice for Sofia and a safer community. Your signature can make a difference in pushing authorities to act, thereby safeguarding others from similar fates. Let us stand together to demand accountability and protection.
