We support the construction of the section of the New England Rail Trail between Armidale Railway Station and Dumaresq Railway Station.

We support the New England Rail Trail from Armidale to Ben Lomond in the Great Northern Rail Line Corridor to link with the Glen Innes section when further funding is acquired.

We call on Armidale Regional Council to commence construction without delay of the first section of the rail trail between Armidale Railway Station and Dumaresq Railway Station and that that this construction be funded by the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grant of $5.4m offered to Armidale Regional Council for this explicit purpose and for the future economic benefit of the New England region.
