So as we know, The Clubs / Organizations at RV are not aloud to go on anymore field trips this year. The reasoning for this is due to a major budget cut, due to a lack of funding they can't provide any field trips out of pocket. The thing is, its not due to the lack of funding that is keeping us unable to go on tips, The Board / Higher Up decided that regardless of the ability to fundraise the money on our own, It wouldn't be "Fair" to fundraise cause ( I assume ) some club are smaller and can't afford to do any fundraising. But as far as I heard they never really specified on why its not "fair". We should be able to raise our own money and go to fun places, especially because some of us are Seniors, this will be our last year here. To not be able to go anywhere through this year would just be devastating.  

This is very important to note that this might be a temporary thing just for this year but if no new money comes by and we are still going through cuts, this might be prolonged or even become a permanent rule. nobody worked this hard to get into high school just to be told that they can't go anywhere new and exciting. On top of that, a lot of clubs here at RV are community based clubs that regularly go on trips and do community service. Even though they have said we can do some community service activities,  we can't go any farther than outside of Mount holly. Which means we can only do anything locally. This also means we lose some opportunities as well cause we are bounded to only go around Mt Holly.

Like What was stated already, We are not sure how long this will go on for. I hope I can take this petition to the higher ups to tell them how bothered we are and that actions need to be made. As a student currently in RV, I would love to speak on behalf of the clubs / organizations to get back field trip.
