Many people have heard about the viral hashtag #hisnameisalex, or #justiceforalex. In case you don’t know the story behind it, Alex is a transgender boy, and a video has recently been shared, showing his mother continuously deadnaming and misgendering him. Deadnaming and misgendering a trans person can cause extreme emotional distress, as your identity is being erased. This is emotional abuse, and Alex needs to be taken away from his abusive mother. 

There was a previous petition about justice for Alex, but it was ended when Alex was supposedly removed from his mother. He is back in his mother’s “care” now, and he needs to be in a safer place. CPC hasn’t done anything, and first responders haven’t either.

It is my hope that we can raise awareness and make change with this petition. Sign it, share it, and demand that Alex be taken away from his emotionally abusive mother.
