On October 3rd, 2021, farmers gathered at Tikunia village in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh to stage a protest against three farm laws brought in by the union  govt. during a visit by Dy. CM of the state Keshav Prasad Maurya including Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni. While protesting peacefully, an SUV ran over them leaving 9 people including 4 farmers dead and many others injured. The car was allegedly driven by Mishra's son Ashish Mishra.As a matter of fact, this incident can be seen in sequence to other provocative statements given by BJP leaders, Mishra included, 

Many videos have emerged showing the utter cruelty of the incident and FIR has been registered naming Mishra's son. 

It's been more than 48 hours since the incident but no arrests have been made by the state police. Instead, it has arrested political leaders imposing Sec. 144 in the area. The utter brutality of the incident is reminiscent of colonial times where people were considered subjects rather than citizens and denied justice.

To ensure an effective and impartial probe into the incident, and bring culprits behind bars, it is demanded to :-

• Remove Ajay Mishra Teni from Union Minister Post.
• Arrest Ashish Mishra at earliest.
• Realese Political leaders.
