Major General Andre Lincoln was one of the founding members of the Anti Gang Unit. And also the very first and extremely capable commander.

• We the Western Cape and especially the Cape flats hereby demands that he be reinstated in his post as the Commander of the Anti Gang Unit. The gang violence on the Capeflats has intensified so badly and almost weekly we see innocent people  especially children falls victims to this careless acts by gangsters. We have had no public engagement nor participation by Senior Saps management or Senior Management of the Anti Gang Unit. General Lincoln hails from Cape flats and has manage several of the gang stations. While managing the Anti Gang Unit, the General had engaged the public and was very often seen in the areas, on the road with the members. *News24 has reported that over the pass 7 days Cape Town has experienced a total of 83 murders. The Cape flats needs a Commander that is hand-on and who knows the ins and outs  This is a demand for General Lincoln to be reinstated as he has proven that he is extremely capable of adressing the Gang violence in Cape Town. 

We Are very aware of the Generals disabilities. But does not see this as a negative or a hampering factor.
