Immune Compromised Family, EVICTED during COVID-19 outbreak

The Issue

To: My Fellow Americans

We need your support now more than ever. My family, our 11 pets, and I were wrongfully, violently evicted, on the early morning of April 17th, with guns in our faces we were thrown out into the streets, while others were hiding in their homes from COVID-19. We had lived in the home for 12 years, we were comfortably surviving 13 years now, with immune-compromised systems, diligently taking our daily chemotherapies, before this horrific day changed all that. Now HOMELESS during a global pandemic, nowhere to seek shelter for my family and our pets, no cure. What court system would issue and enforce such a devastating death sentence to us, to citizens just wanting a safe place to live?

Tulare County Sheriffs evicted us, threatened us to have our animals put down, with animal control on route to our home, we were terrified. Evicted after a year-long court battle over repair request, and health code violations, in our home. City Code Enforcement already cited landlords twice, for hazardous materials in our home.  Landlords even visited and saw the damage, but didn't have repairs done, instead vowed to have us thrown out, for turning them into the state agencies. We were forced to pay full rent the entire time, even though our home had black mold and asbestos. Never being offered another unit or safe alternative temporarily, Now ultimately sending us out into a deadly world plagued with COVID-19 among other diseases, who themselves are hiding inside their homes from the COVID-19 outbreak.

We had been to court and had a judgment in our favor to keep out home Dec 2019, orders to being left alone for 180 days and mandatory special remediation of both dangerous poisonous materials, having discovered in Aug 2018. With complete disregard for our health and safety of others in the community, they ignored orders and hired a property management company, to shield her unlawful actions, to take up where she left off, wanting a plumber, or handyman to do the work.  We hadn't done anything wrong but insisted on proper remediation

Now we are seeking help from fellow citizens, like you to help us get justice back from this unimaginable injustice we are now living daily. We demand to take this matter to another level of judicial branch get our Civil Rights back, have proper recourse taken to stop such abuse of power from ever doing this again, landlords, government/city officials, etc. We want our home back, damages to our stuff replaced, our pets a safe place to play again and of course, JUSTICE for the pain and suffering, and the Civil Rights that were taken from us. We need your support and signatures to get the attention of the government officials that can fix this major injustice being done. Please forward, share link, tell a friend, tweet it, just help us get the word out there, We are still homeless during this COVID-19 outbreak.

Sincerely,

David and Rich
