Let's keep this momentum going and not wait for the next tragic planning decision! This is our city, let's not give up on it.
New public forum for Aberdeen
Inspired by the successful Cockburn Association in Edinburgh
I am organising a public meeting to create a new public forum for the rapid and effective communication of public opinion on issues within the scope of the proposed constitution:
On Wednesday 19 November 2014
From 6-8pm
In the Towns House, Aberdeen
If you would like to attend, please send your email/phone details to Lorna McHattie: simpsoncf2014@gmail.com, or phone 01224 208262.
We need an idea of numbers, to make sure we have an appropriate sized room.
Format
Short presentation: What has brought us here? Why another forum? (15 minutes)
Open Space: Smaller groups: What do you want from a forum? (1 hour)
Together: Where do we go from here? Priorities for quick impact, how will you be involved?
Proposed name: Simpson Civic Forum
(In recognition of the contribution made to the architecture of Aberdeen by Archibald Simpson)
