While undergoing current police reform, training for police is necessary for our vulnerable members of society. Invisible disabilities such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, RAD, etc, are all forms of Invisible social disabilities, which police need to be trained and educated about.

When police are not educated, our society cannot be run as a safe place. Children and adults with invisible disabilities are sometimes unable to communicate, and specific training and procedures must be put in place for the safety of those members of our society.

Other states such as California, have extensive autism training and I hope that with this petition, our great state of Utah can take the next step to protect our residents with educated and trained police forces.
