South Gloucestershire Council are proposing to severely restrict the opening hours of Filton Library. Conservative led South Gloucestershire Council should reconsider it's budget to allow Filton Library to remain open throughout the week allowing it to provide valuable services to the whole community. Supporting the literacy of our babies and toddlers, giving job seekers internet access and providing older residents with a place to meet are just some of the things this hard fought facility provides for Filton residents of all ages. It's importance to a diverse community like Filton is clearly something that South Glos Council doesn't understand. Our case here in Filton is unique and we need to shout louder. Let them know it's about more than lending out books!
