We are launching this online petition to try and reduce the speed limit outside our school. Milltown National School is located on the main Galway-Sligo Road (N17). While special speed limits of 30km/60km per hour are sometimes applied to designated zones such as outside schools, the speed limit outside our school remains at 100 km p/h despite many years of asking and a number of accidents.  

In an effort to protect the safety of our children, we are petitioning to reduce the speed limit. We hope to get as many signatures as possible to get the powers that be to take notice before there is another accident.
