Calisthenics/Body Weight Fitness Park Galway City

The Issue

Fellow Galway citizens, perhaps you, like I, noticed that there are excellent exercise facilities for children and seniors, however, nothing appropriate for those of us who fall in between, which ironically is the greater population. For reasons obvious, it is not appropriate to use the children's equipment, and while impressive looking, you may have also found the other more adult equipment on offer to be very ineffective. So what to do?

The solution  is simple...install a chin-up bar and dip bar in our parks. This would not only be far cheaper than the more convoluted equipment currently available, but incredibly versatile and inclusive. All while taking up hardly any space.
If you're not aware, this equipment allows the user to perform what is called "calisthenics". This basically means that you can get a complete full-body workout using only your body weight with the appropriate equipment. So although basic looking, this deceptively simple piece of equipment will actually provide for all levels of activity, and therefore, can be utilized by the population's entire range of demographic. Considering this, I sincerely believe this equipment to not only be priority number one when assembling a public activity area, but most pertinent of all,  due to Covid restriction's on-off gym access it is a cost-effective necessity to every citizen's physical and mental wellbeing.

To conclude, installing calithenics equipment in our parks would be a a positive addtion to the city that would both a) greatly provide to its citizens, while b) drawing the kind of positive attention from the global calithenic's community that would be very much be in keeping with a European Capital of Culture.

So, with that said, if this all seems reasonable to you, please sign and forward on, thank you.
