Yesterday I had a meeting with Mike Little, the director of the Hall County Parks and Recreation. We discussed the possibility of getting a skateboard park built in Hall County. Back in 2009 Hall County was planning to build a skateboard park. Unfortunately during that period of time Hall County went through an economic downturn that delayed the process of proceeding building the park. I showed Mr. Little the skateboard park petition that I have going around online at this moment. He said the petition is a great way to show the need of building the skateboard park. He assured me that the Hall County Commissioners and the Hall County Parks and Recreation are supportive of the idea of building a Skatepark. They are studying the process of land acquisition, and funding mechanisms that will be the main elements towards the construction of the park for our community of skateboarders in Hall County.
