We, the residents and supporters of Fulbourn, strongly oppose the proposed East West Rail Train Care Centre on the edge of our village. This industrial-scale, 24-hour facility would bring continuous noise, intrusive lighting, increased traffic, and significant harm to the peaceful rural character of our community and surrounding countryside. The proposed location is wholly inappropriate given its close proximity to homes, public footpaths, wildlife habitats, and treasured green spaces. Residents feel this development is being imposed on the village without proper regard for the long-term impact on health, wellbeing, the environment, and quality of life. We urge East West Railway Company and decision-makers to reconsider this proposal and pursue a more suitable location that does not place such a heavy burden on local communities.
