Dear supporters,

There is no higher purpose for land designated for the education of Vic High students than their education, including upgraded sports facilities.
This video details how financial mismanagement by the SD61 Board and lack of transparency has led to the proposed lease for money of Vic High lands. SD61 has falsely argued for years now that the lease money was required because of a shortfall associated with the Vic High seismic upgrade.

In fact, part of the money was needed by SD61 to plug the more than $5.5M mismanagement of the Burnside School upgrades.
The land should remain for the educational use of students and be used as promised to build out the Memorial Stadium Revitalization project that includes a standard metric track and standard playing fields that can accommodate soccer, rugby, and more.

Hearings are pending at City Hall to allow for the land to be taken. Please let your voice be heard in opposition. Thank you.
