With the opening of the borders only a few weeks away, a minority of Fremantle residents are pushing for Fremantle council to oppose vaccine mandates. We are a group of residents and workers in Fremantle organising to stop them. Let's show them that Freo is a pro-vax, pro-health town!

Simon Naber of Moore & Moore Café is spearheading the petition against the vaccine mandate. He claims that small businesses in Fremantle are worried about losing their employees as a result of the mandate, but if they were really worried about their employees wouldn't they have asked them to get the jab? Behind the scenes Naber is calling the vaccine an "experimental drug", and hosts anti-science gurus such as Dr. Peter Dingle at his café. Other supporters include Andrea Tokaji, a christian fundamentalist lawyer who was recently seen at an anti-vaccine demonstration wearing a star of David, comparing the mandate to the holocaust.

45 small business owners and sole traders had signed the petition they submitted to council on December 15th last year. Make no mistake, this is part of a broader campaign by the far-right. Their activist groups on Telegram and Facebook are organising to petition councils across Australia, with one council in NSW officially opposing the vaccine mandate as a result. We can't let them win this fight!
