The recent decision of the Karnataka High Court has taken away a basic Constitutional Right of Indian Muslims to practice their religion and an essential Human Right to clothing, expression and  personal liberty. 

We as citizens of India, fear for future when slowly and gradually all our basic human and constitutional rights will be in danger at the hands of state.

With this petition, we want to reach out to the stakeholders of democracy, human rights and humanity. We urge the Supreme Court of India and the Governemnt of India as well as all the human rights and women rights organizations to allow women to wear or not to wear a head cover, scarf, stole in order to cover their heads in any public or private place despite wearing a uniform. This forms their identity and is a matter of sheer choice with Indian girls and women in any State or Union Territory of India.

We urge you to please sign this petition and spread it amongst your friends so that we are able to mobilize people for a more free and liberal future in India and thus in the world's best democracy.
