Every Role Matters
They all have their place in creating change.
And we need all of it.
But hear this clearly:
If you are not able to be in the streets, lobbying, or door knocking — that’s okay.
Movements are not built by one lane of action. They are built by many hands working in different ways.
Right now, one of the most powerful things you can do is simple:
📩 Call.
📧 Email.
Assemblyman Atty Matt Ritter, (860) 240-8585, 1-800-842-8267, Matthew.Ritter@cga.ct.gov

Senator Doug McCrory, McCrory@senatedems.ct.gov, Legislative Aide Kellie Guilbert kellie.guilbert@cga.ct.gov 860-240-1453
State Representative Maryam Khan,1-800-842-8267, 860-240-8585, Maryam.Khan@cga.ct.gov
This week, we are asking Hartford residents to contact their elected officials and make one thing clear:
We are not okay incarcerating innocent people.
Not under any circumstances.
Wrongful convictions are:
⚖️ A waste of taxpayer dollars
⚖️ A failure of public safety
⚖️ A direct harm to children and families
⚖️ A system that protects finality over truth
When innocent people are imprisoned, communities are not safer. Children grow up without parents. Families are destabilized. And taxpayers fund injustice instead of correction.
We are urging Hartford lawmakers to:
• Sponsor the Wrongful Conviction Relief Act
• Move it through committee
• Pass it into law
The Free Abdus Campaign’s Wrongful Conviction Relief Act ensures that clear and convincing evidence of innocence can be heard — even when technical standards try to silence it.
If you can march, march.
If you can rally, rally.
If you can lobby, lobby.
And if you cannot — call and email.
Every action counts.
Every voice shifts the ground.
This week, Hartford, we need you.
