The last post of the Da Cypha will be focused on Mr. Eric Carter, also known as "Red Money Blick". Eric is himself a true MC that finds himself at a precarious stage for a rapper. He is getting older in a young man/woman game. So, Eric did something that I believe is incredibly intelligent and something that many are unwilling or unable to do. He pivoted, he has successfully pivoted from a lifelong dream, goal and almost reality and I believe that with hard work and correct decision making he will be successful. He developed a new way to have a major impact in the field of hip hop. He is a beat maker. Self-taught with antiquated equipment, but making beats that people are going to love. He also is a mentor to young talent trying to make it in the rap game. I met Blick a few years back when he was a part of my movement Mann Up. I always understood his talent, supported his skill set and provided a platform for him to perform. As long as there was a positive message to what he was pushing, and the language had to be cleaned up in order to perform at Mann Up. It was not until I was introduced into the part of his personality that is best represented by his government name Eric Carter, that we truly began to connect as friends. Eric Carter cares about the younger men of Red Money, Eric Carter wants better for his future, Eric Carter is concerned about failing when he reenters society. And I am a supporter of Eric and all that he is fighting for. Now Red Money Blick? As a Red money and Eric supporter I am putting my money and some resources where my mouth is. First by the time this is posted, Eric will already be home, I via SRC will have supported financially the founding of Red Money Records. A member of SRC will have filed the paperwork for said company and I will have introduced Eric to a mentor in the business (Tykeem Labont). That connection alone is invaluable. As long as he is moving as Eric Carter I will be here to assist. The voice of the voiceless.
