There are heartbreaking videos of Opal the orangutan on ‘TikTok’. In several clips she is sitting on the steps in her enclosure, with her hand outstretched towards the people filming her. She seems to be begging for food. (You can find these videos by searching for #NatalZoologicalGardens on tiktok.com).
The owners of Natal Zoo have previously stated that Opal is well-fed with a generous supply of treats. 
Sadly however this does not appear to be true. 
Please could I ask you all to continue sharing my petition to try to get Opal freed from this terrible zoo and moved to a sanctuary where she can get the specialised care she so desperately needs.
