Today, we have learned of worsening conditions in Evin which raises still more concerns about Mum and Craig's health. We are still waiting for the phone to ring, but at the moment we have silence. Uncertainty has become part of the reality we are all being forced to live with. After everything Mum and Craig have already endured, the fact that contact with their family remains unresolved is incredibly hard to accept.
So we keep going.
And on Wednesday 21 October, we are taking the next step.
Following Prime Minister’s Questions, we will be taking the petition calling for Lindsay and Craig’s freedom directly to 10 Downing Street and the Foreign Office.
And we want you invite you to join us.
This petition started as a way of showing that Mum and Craig had not been forgotten. It has grown into something much bigger. Thousands upon thousands of people have put their names behind them, shared their story, written letters, contacted politicians, donated, turned up to events and helped us keep going when this campaign could so easily have disappeared from view. Thank you for standing with us.
On 21 October, we are taking all of that support with us.
We will walk to the heart of government carrying the names of the people who have signed the petition to show that what is happening to Lindsay and Craig matters. We will deliver that message to Downing Street and then take it directly to the Foreign Office. We would like to do that with you.
We want this to be a big day. A positive day. A loud, determined and united demonstration of just how many people are standing behind them.
Because we are not running out of energy. We are not going quiet. And we are certainly not stopping.
Every time a door closes, we will find another one to knock on. Every time we are told there is little more that can be done, we will keep asking what can be done. Every day Mum and Craig remain away from us is another day we will use to push, question, campaign and make sure their names continue to be heard.
