Free Justin Williams

The Issue

On June 13, 2018, Justin Williams took his two minor children and girlfriend to the riverbanks of Crump, Tennessee to enjoy an evening of family fun. There, they met William Tinker and his new wife. The foursome sat around the campfire chatting it up until the sun went down. That's when, what had otherwise been a relaxing day, things took a turn for the worse. According to Williams, Tinker, who does have a documented history of violence, "came at [him]" with a buck knife because he (and his girlfriend) tried to leave before he (Tinker) had a chance to have sex with her (Williams' girlfriend). His girlfriend took the children to the car as he (Williams) tried to hold him (Tinker) back. Williams' girlfriend's hunting rifle was in the vehicle and, at some point during the altercation, she was able to get it to him for his defense. Williams fired a warning shot into the air as Tinker continued to come after him. Then, he fired again... this time hitting him. Williams jumped in his car, with his family, and fled... not knowing for certain if he had hit him or not.

After fleeing, Tinker's wife loaded him in their car and drove to a restaurant where he was met by medics and transported to the local hospital. Tinker perished from his injuries and Williams was arrested for first degree murder.

Justin Williams has been incarcerated in the Hardin County Jail for almost four (4) years pending trial for first degree murder. Private investigator Heather M. Rolling (formerly Cohen) and her team of Justice Warriors recently conducted an extensive investigation, hiring expert witnesses and reconstructing the events of that fateful night. Rolling was so confident that the investigation proves that Williams had, in fact, acted in self-defense, that she took the evidence to the district attorney and asked that Williams be exonerated of all charges. General Matt Stowe agreed to consider the evidence and offered to release Williams while he conducted his own investigation to either confirm or debunk Rolling's investigation. Williams rejected the offer to take a lie detector test, under the advisement of legal counsel, and is still incarcerated to date (with no trial date on the books).

I am calling for the public to sign this petition, asking General Stowe to either offer a plea deal for lesser charges or exonerate Williams of all charges. Williams was acting in self-defense. His children have missed out on their father and Williams has missed out on his entire life for long enough. He was acting in self-defense... something anybody would have done in this situation. This could have been you, Mr. Stowe, or me. Please, have compassion for Williams and his family. Free Justin Williams!
