We want to share a deeply concerning update regarding Imran Rzayev, who remains in immigration custody.

Imran has recently been transferred to one of Florida’s most notorious detention centers, often referred to by locals as the “alligator prison” due to its proximity to wildlife and its harsh reputation. While we’re withholding the official name for safety reasons, we can confirm that the conditions in this facility are extremely poor.

📍 Two days ago, Imran managed to contact his family and reported experiencing chemical poisoning from chlorine exposure. He said he was feeling physically unwell, and also shared that his mental health is deteriorating rapidly due to the environment and prolonged isolation.

Since that message, no one has heard from him. His sudden silence is alarming, and we are sincerely hoping that the lack of communication is temporary and due to restricted access to phones — not something worse.

⚠️ This situation is heartbreaking and highlights the injustice of detaining a man who has dedicated his life to civic service, community safety, and helping victims of crime.

We urge you to keep sharing this petition, spreading Imran’s story, and putting pressure on authorities to release him from this unbearable situation. Your voice matters now more than ever.
