A PLEA FROM CHANTEL CASTILE (RALPH DUKE'S DAUGHTER):

Our Father Ralph Duke was sentenced to life plus 40 + Years in 1989, with approximately 22 other defendants that mainly were younger than him (ranging in age from 19-44), including his son (my brother) Ralph Monte Nunn, my ex-boyfriend Shawn "Duke" (which was like a son to our father), a few nephews (my cousins), Joseph Ballard, Loren Duke, Marcel Duke, Andre Duke, Serena Nunn, Kim Willis, Larry Hutchinson, Ramon Hutchinson, Anthony Turner, April Willis, Vikki Hammer, and other defendants. Allegations included drug conspiracy, racketeering, aiding and abetting, tax evasion, and a host of additional charges resulting from a sting operation orchestrated by super-informant Andrew Chambers

All defendants served at least 13 years. Two of the defendants (Serena Nunn & Kim Willis) had sentences commuted by President Bill Clinton approximately 14 years into their imprisonment. Serena Nunn was later granted a pardon by Barak Obama and amazingly became a defense attorney! (an unprecedented triumph against adversity). Our father Ralph Duke is still serving time after winning several appeals which should have resulted in a downward departure in his sentencing. In 2018, our father won an unprecedented re-sentencing before his original Judge David S. Doty (after Ralph vacated some of the charges following a successful Pro Se appeal). Judge Doty instead re-sentenced Ralph to life imprisonment despite decades already served for his non-violent, first-time conviction. He should have been walking out the door and on his way to regaining his life. Ralph had completed many programs and courses in prison and maintained the highest work ethic in all his assignments. How is this even possible? Our father means a lot to us. He is now 77 years old and has never been able to play with his grandchildren. He missed so many milestones in life to pay his debt to society. I am asking for signatures to support this petition to free our father, Ralph Duke, so he may enjoy a second chance at life before it’s too late. Please find it in your heart to sign this petition. All information about the case is posted on FreeDuke.com
