Solidarity with human rights defenders 

The 11th anniversary of the pro-democracy uprising in Bahrain is coming up this February and for this occasion we call on you to support freedom fighters in the Gulf. 

We are demanding the release of Dr. Abduljalil Al-Singace, a leading Human Rights defender and Hassan Mushaima, the leader of the political opposition in Bahrain. Aged 69 and 73 respectively, they have now been detained for over a decade in Jau prison for their fight for democracy and human rights.

Prison conditions are notoriously harsh in Bahrain, where detainees face torture, abuse and medical neglect. In protest, Dr. Al-Singace has been on hunger strike for around 6 months which has severely impacted his health and well-being. Many politicians, journalists and civilians from Europe to the United States have spoken out against Bahrain’s abusive detention practices. Today, we come to you for support.

The unconditional release of Bahrain’s most prominent human rights activists.
