The Point Vernon Enhancement Group is still continuing to fight for a better foreshore. While still lobbying council & posting information on our Facebook page we continue to keep the issue alive. Council has been listening with maintenance improving in recent weeks, more mowing, hedging the edges, and cleaning up some of the parks (not all) that had uncontrolled regrowth. We still want more, with weeds removed, dead trees on the beach cleaned up, better maintenance over the edges and a plan for the future. The only way to keep this issue alive is to keep the petition going & expanding, contact the council with your complaints and write your comments on our Facebook page and find council representatives that will listen.
